Projects
Building the Way of Remembering.
The Way of Remembering is not a single building — it is a constellation of sacred, cultural, and economic projects rising in the Kingdom of Akbanankin. Together they form the infrastructure of return: ceremony, hospitality, commerce, education, and reconciliation, all anchored by the Door of Return.

Flagship Monument
The Door of Return
Africa's only Door of Return — a sacred threshold in Akbanankin, Benin, welcoming the diaspora and all of humanity back home through ceremony, education, and remembrance.

Living Museum
Sankofa Museum
An immersive museum telling the real history of slavery and the legacy of Ezameh TADO from the African and diaspora voice — housing artifacts, a slave-ship replica, audio-visual oral history, and living-culture exhibits.

Place of Arrival
Mother Africa Welcome Center
A botanical Mother Africa Goddess garden symbolizing the return to the womb — the first stop where pilgrims and visitors are greeted before walking the Road of Return.

Ceremonial Site
Tree of Remembrance
A sacred ceremonial tree where the collective memory severed by colonization is restored — undoing the deliberate erasure of African names, lineages, and identities.

Ritual Monument
Pillar of Freedom
After passing through the Door of Return, every pilgrim performs the ritual at the Pillar of Freedom — definitively breaking the four-century chain of bondage.

Cultural Venue
Door of Return Ceremonial Center
A grand ceremonial space hosting cultural and spiritual activities of the TADO Kingdom and the pilgrimage — equipped with a full production stage for festivals, concerts, and global gatherings.

Sacred Sanctuary
Ancestral Shrine & Temple of the Ancestors
A center for Ancestral Return Ceremonies, where high priests perform rites for loved ones in transition. Pilgrims carry soil samples back to the Shrine, supporting the build-out of the Temple of the Ancestors.

Hospitality
Door of Return Villas, Hotel & Resort
A village of 30 luxury 1–3 bedroom villas — solar powered, sustainably designed, electric-cart transit — alongside a future full-service resort and spa welcoming families from across the diaspora.

Healing Center
Door of Return Spa
Spiritual baths, meditation, divinations, herbal treatments, and full-body wellness experiences rooted in ancestral practice and modern care.

Culinary
Door of Return Restaurant & Grill
African-fusion cuisine from the continent and the diaspora, with live music, catering, and weekend brunch — affordable hospitality at the heart of the village.

Commerce
Door of Return Marketplace — Made in Akbanankin
A one-stop shop for handmade goods stamped 'Made in Akbanankin' — TADO heritage merchandise, plant-based wellness, arts, crafts, instruments, and local provisions.

Global Forum
Council for Reparations & Reconciliation
A neutral, sacred convening of the children of Africa — continent and diaspora — together with descendants of former colonizers, to negotiate, heal, and chart a shared future.

Heritage Preservation
Renovation of Akbanankin Kingdom Temples & Palace
Ongoing restoration and upkeep of the ancestral temples and royal palace of Akbanankin — preserving the spiritual and architectural lineage of the TADO Kingdom.
